Custom Replacement Hoist Sheave

A customer needed a replacement custom hoist sheave in a HURRY…Bear Equipment was ready to help.

The customer sent in the old hoist sheave for Bear to measure and ensure correct replacement dimensions (22″ outside diameter with 3-3/4″ shaft bore for 3/4″ diameter wire rope).

Bear Equipment’s team took measurements, completed engineering drawings, machined sheave, machined grooved bushing, flame hardened the groove, and shipped out the door in less than 10 days.

Bear Equipment can turn around custom sheaves quickly because we can do everything in-house. We manufactured the grooved bronze bushing required for the bore and flame hardened the groove to prolong the life in the hoist application.
